With a 500 PS (490 HP) supercharged V8 unit sending all of its juice to rear end, the W211 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG isn't a car you'd want to take lightly.
Then again, it's also the type of car that everyone should be able to enjoy, even people with disabilities, such as paraplegics. With that in mind, Andria, the owner of this E55 and a longtime E55 fan, is no stranger to driving fast German saloons without the use of her legs.
So how difficult is it to control this V8 monster using only your hands for accelerating and braking? The Smoking Tire's Matt Farah got the hang of it pretty quickly.
In fact, the only downside as far as the car's owner is concerned is reliability. She says that having driven older E55 models, she found the W211 a bit more expensive to maintain due to the fact that it's a bit more complex. She also advices potential owners of used german super saloons to put aside around $3,000 per year just in case something goes wrong.
Thankfully for us, nothing went wrong during this review and Farah was able to control the E55 AMG with just his hands without any issues. While this wasn't his first time driving a car with hand controls, the E55 was definitely easier to control than he expected.
