Sure, it may sound like a comparison review, packed with straight-line acceleration and a whole bunch of other tests, but it's not. What we're actually looking at here is a short POV drive of the all-new Audi RS5 Coupe, Ingolstadt's answer to the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and BMW M4 Coupe.
The RS5 made its debut at this year's Geneva Motor Show and it shares its underpinnings with the latest A4, benefiting from the same technologies that should make the daily commute more pleasant.
It also packs lots of muscle: 450PS (444hp) and 600Nm (443lb-ft) of torque, to be more precise. Power comes from a new 2.9-liter bi-turbo V6 engine, which was co-developed with Porsche. It allows the premium compact coupe to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds (that's faster than an old supercar) and it will keep going up to 280km/h (174mph), depending on the selected options.
The automaker opened the order books for the first model developed by Audi Sport last month in most European markets, Germany included, where it is priced from €80,900 ($92,760).
