The vast majority of the cars available in Forza – or any driving game for that matter – are actual cars you might find on the street... but not all of them. Like this latest addition to Forza Horizon 3.
The developers at Turn 10 Studios have added the Regalia to the driving sim, porting it over from another popular game: Final Fantasy XV.
King Regis' ride represents the height of elegance. It's a four-door convertible in the grandest of parade-car style – like the Lincoln Continental from Entourage, or the Cadillac Ciel concept from 2011 (which, incidentally, appeared in the Entourage movie). Only the Regalia isn't a classic from a time long gone, or even a one-off concept. This one comes from the fictitious land of Eos, where Noctis Lucis Caelum and his entourage drive it around. Oh, and it has what would probably be the largest folding hardtop mechanism in the business, were it actually to exist.
The Regalia isn't the first fantasy car to make the jump to Horizon 3 from another video game. Last summer, the developers ported over the Warthog from Halo to the same game. At this point we're wondering what might come next. The Stallion muscle car (or any of the other made-up vehicles) from Grand Theft Auto? A tank from Call of Duty? A camel from Assassin's Creed? Your guess is as good as ours, but something tells us we haven't seen the last of this trend.
