The final Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet will be going under the hammer next month as Bonhams will auction off the convertible to raise funds for Laureus Sport for Good.
Set to be sold at the company's Zoute auction on October 6th, the model has remained in Mercedes' procession and will soon become the first G650 Landaulet to be sold at public auction. The combination of exclusively and prestige is expected to draw a lot of attention and Bonhams predicts bidding will surpass its list price of €630,000 ($753,259).
Even if that occurs, the model could be a relative bargain as previous examples have been listed for sale at €1.3 ($1.5) million.
The six-figure convertible is one of the most insane creations since the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 and it features a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 630 hp (470 kW) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Since it's based on the G-Class, it also comes equipped with portal axles, locking differentials, and 450mm (17.7 inches) of ground clearance.
The convertible isn't only about performance as the Maybach team created a bespoke rear passenger compartment with two individual seats that are separated by a center console with thermal cup holders and retractable tray tables. Other highlights include a rear partition window and a dual screen entertainment system.
