When Land Rover took design cues from both the Range Rover Evoque as well as the Sport in order to shape the new Velar, they probably knew they would have a real winner on their hands.
Since its unveiling back in March, we can't recall anybody saying anything truly negative about the Velar's appearance. Its dynamic, yet elegant lines, together with the rakish roof make it one of the world's most striking SUVs.
Yet, must you have two feet and stand up straight in order to truly appreciate the imposing nature of a car? Land Rover says...not necessarily, as they launched a new spot for the Velar, dubbed 'Respect'.
It's obviously not meant to be taken literally, to the point where you'll keep all dogs in check by driving around in a Velar. The idea behind this commercial was to find a subtle way to talk about the car's commanding presence on the road.
As far as we're concerned, the automaker nailed it. Everything looks beautiful in the video, from the car to the white dogs, and even that ultra-modern home.
