New Seat Arona Priced From £16,555 OTR In The UK

Seat’s second SUV, the new sub-compact Arona is set to hit the UK market on November 17, with prices kicking off at £16,555 OTR.

Compared to the entry-level version of the closely related VW T-Roc, the new Seat Arona is £3,870 cheaper but the VW comes with the 115PS 1.0-liter TSI engine option as standard, instead of the 95PS version of its Spanish cousin.

However, if you move up to the same engine in the Arona range, the Seat still remains £2,685 cheaper than the VW T-Roc in the SE trim level, and adds a DSG transmission as a bonus.

Speaking of which, the base SE trim level of the new Seat Arona offers plenty of kit as standard, including metallic paint, 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-color roof, power-adjustable door mirrors, LED daytime running lights and tail lights, front cornering fog lights, automatic headlights, air conditioning, split-folding rear seat, electric windows front and rear, chrome detailing and leather trim for the gear knob and handbrake and a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and aux-in/USB ports.

As with the latest Ibiza, the new Seat Arona also comes with safety features such as Front Assist, Multi-Collision Braking, Hill Hold Control and Tiredness Recognition System. Seat UK will also offer for a limited period the new Arona in special SE and Xcellence First Edition trim levels that offer even more features as standard.

The engine range includes five powertrains in total, three petrol and two diesel units. The petrol engines start with the 95PS 1.0-liter TSI three-cylinder paired to a five-speed manual and continue with the 115PS version of the same engine mated to a six-speed manual or a DSG transmission, while the range-topping 150PS 1.5-liter TSI Evo also features a cylinder deactivation system for better fuel economy.

The diesel range offers a 1.6-liter TDI with either 95 or 115PS. All versions are front-wheel drive, with the FR trim level getting a drive-mode feature with four options –Normal, Sport, Eco and Individual.
