Aston Martin Valkyrie - Now With Headlights, New Wheels, And A Silver Finish

Back in March, when Aston Martin presented the Valkyrie in front of the audience at the Geneva Motor Show, the vehicle lacked lighting units on both ends, and didn’t exactly look production-ready.

There was a good reason for that, as the hypercar was in concept form, but since then, it has received a pair of headlights, new wheels, a silver finish, and what appears to be a complete interior, as the twitted image, which shows tennis star Serena Williams posing next to it, reveals.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie, with its new appearance, was displayed at a private event, during the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix, last month, reports Road&Track, which speculates that it's quite possible that it was actually shown for the people who already made a deposit, and are now waiting for the British marque to produce it.

The publication is also putting an end to speculations by quoting one of the brand's representatives that said that this Valkyrie isn’t production-ready yet, despite looking all qualified to hit the assembly lines.

Deliveries of the most powerful street-legal Aston Martin ever are expected to begin in 2019, and by then, it should be powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, working together with a KERS system sourced from Rimac, to produce as much as 1,000 horsepower. And with a targeted curb weight of 1,000kg (2,205lbs), its power-to-weight ratio will be truly impressive.
