The Grand Tour Opens Ticket Applications At New Cotswolds Studio

As The Grand Tour Season 2 inches towards its premiere later this year, producers for the show have announced a huge, but not unexpected, change.

Rather than the series filming from its special studio tent in different locations around the world every week, all studio segments will now be filmed at a location in the Cotswolds, UK, confirming recent reports that indicated this would be the case.

While this change will limit the ability of viewers outside the UK to attend filming of the studio segments, producers say it will help the “presenter’s sore joints [and] struggling lungs” from some of the pressures of travelling the world.

Alongside the announcement of this alteration to the show, applications for tickets to the studio records have just opened and will remain open until midnight BST on Tuesday, October 3.

Speaking about the new season and what we can expect, executive producer Andy Wilman says Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond will be embarking on more adventures than ever before.

“It's clear that the most popular ‘Grand Tour’ element of the show is when the chaps are roaming the globe on their big adventures and road trips, so that's what we're doing a lot more of for this season. We'll keep the studio in one place, and given how accident prone they are at the minute, that can only be a good thing!"
