The third-generation Corvette isn't as highly prized as its predecessors but Shooting Cars caught up with one owner and his uniquely customized 1973 Corvette Convertible which is definitely a head turner.
Taking a year and a half to create, the model will probably make some people do a double take as it has been equipped with headlights from the Corvette C7.
Whether or not this was a good idea comes down to your own personal opinion but the owner notes he wanted something a little bit different so it would catch people's attention. If the headlights didn't accomplish that, perhaps the car's copper paint job will do the trick as it was only applied to around 194 Corvettes in 1994.
Speaking of parts from various Corvettes, the model has seats from an 84 Corvette and a six-speed manual transmission from a 1998 Corvette. The latter item is connected to a crate engine that reportedly produces 400 hp (298 kW).
Another unique feature about the car is its interior which draws inspiration from the second-generation Corvette. Dressed in acres of tan leather, the cabin has center-mounted instruments, an infotainment system, and chrome switchgear.
The owner doesn't have plans for any more modifications but he intends to drive the car and simply enjoying it.
