Volkswagen's electric push gave birth to the Buzz, Crozz, and Hatch concepts, all part of their new I.D. family, but they might have more similar vehicles in the works.
These might take the shape of two sedans, according to the brand's head of experiential marketing, Greg Lucia, reports VWVortex.
"I was just at this event in Berlin, and we've got an amazing amount of product coming down the pipeline, a lot of it electric, a lot of it SUV. I saw two sedans under the I.D. platform. First time ever", Lucia said.
All members of the I.D. lineup are underpinned by the MEB architecture, a dedicated electric platform that will serve as the foundation stone for upcoming electrified vehicles coming not only from Volkswagen, but from sister brands like Audi, Seat, and Skoda as well.
The first one to debut, in 2020, will be the production version of the I.D. Concept that waas displayed at the Paris Motor Show. It will be followed by the I.D. Crozz, which was previewed by yet another study, at the Shanghai Auto Show, earlier this year, and we're also expecting the I.D. Buzz to hit the assembly lines.
Moreover, a leaked document revealed that the Germans are planning at least two more models: the I.D. Aeroe and I.D. Lounge.
