After all, the new addition in the Jaguar lineup is based on the same platform with both the Evoque and the Land Rover Discovery Sport and will be offered in front- and all-wheel drive versions.
As for the engine range, expect to see the 2,0-liter petrol and diesel units of the Ingenium family, with range-topping models getting a 240PS diesel and a 250PS petrol engine. A six-speed manual gearbox will be offered as standard on lower-powered models, with the eight-speed automatic offered as an option.
Design-wise the new Jaguar E-Pace will draw inspiration from the F-Type and its bigger sibling, the F-Pace. It will certainly be interesting to see how Jaguar will manage to transfer its attractive design language onto a compact SUV.
Stay tuned for the big live reveal of the new Jaguar E-Pace at 3:00PM EST (7:00PM GMT) on the company’s social media channels.
