As it turns out, the Nurburgring-bred Mercedes-AMG GT R doesn't necessarily need its grippy Michelin Cup 2 rubber wrapped around those stock 10-spoke 20" wheels.
This set of TEC 2.3 wheels from Forgiato does seem to stand out a lot more, even though it masks the brake discs and calipers more than some enthusiasts might like.
Then again, if you like your custom wheel designs a little more "busy", you probably won't mind seeing no fewer than 15-spokes on this AMG GT R's running shoes.
What's funny is that the AMG GT R isn't the type of car you'd imagine people would tinker with, especially since it's been calibrated so precisely for the track.
Not only does it have the power, with 585 PS (577 HP) coming from the 4.0-liter biturbo V8, it also has an active aero profile in the underbody, and an active rear-wheel steering system - things you need for setting fast lap times.
Still, if you want it to look even better when you take it out around town, finding it a good set of custom wheels can do the trick.
