The next logical step for Audi, after presenting the new A7 Sportback, is the development of its high-performance version, the RS7.

Coming to rival the Mercedes-AMG CLS63, the vehicle was already scooped testing in prototype form, so inspired by the spy shots, as well as the second-gen A7, X-Tomi has rendered it into production.

However, if its appealing design is not enough to make you dream of it at night, then what's found in the engine compartment should, as it's believed to use the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 unit that currently powers the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Bentley Continental GT, rated at some 650hp.

Additionally, an even more extreme version of the all-new Audi RS7 Sportback is believed to be in the works, which will not only be more powerful, but also greener. The PHEV will reportedly use some components taken from the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, combined with the aforementioned internal combustion engine, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery pack, to churn out up to 700hp.

A reveal date has yet to be communicated, but we should be looking to catch a glimpse of it next year, and the 2018 Geneva Motor Show would be a good starting point.
