Jaguar X Design Study Shows We Need A Feline-Badged Hypercar

Jaguar, as a company, is no stranger to building cars that can take the world by storm with their impressive design and performance figures.

This rendering, titled the "X Concept", was drawn up by designer Ivan Venkov, who looked at the iconic Jaguar XJ 220 (what else?) for inspiration.

To us, it looks more like a futuristic C-X75 than an evolution of the XJ 220, but what matters is that it fits right in with the current crop of ultra fast machines that have emerged since McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche released the Holy Trinity of hypercars.

The design of the Jaguar X Concept is very streamlined, with plenty of aerodynamic features. Unfortunately we can't tell if it's got any active aero besides the rear wing (which we assume would pop up at speed), but we would not bet against this thing in a drag race.

As for notable exterior features, there are the rather peculiar headlights, the BMW-like grille, large LED strip at the rear, triple exhaust and a massive rear diffuser. You can also see the power unit through the engine cover, which is always a nice touch.
