Renault F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg, Freeride Mountain Biker Sam Pilgrim, and Vice World Champion 2016 of Big Waves Surf, Justine Dupont, took turns driving the new Megane RS.
The three "masters of cornering", as Renault refers to them, were given the opportunity to have fun with the hot hatch at Spa Francorchamps, and two mountain passes - Braus and Lombardy, and their runs were captured on film and are now being used to promote the potent compact car.
Presented for the first time during the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Renault Megane RS is offered with two chassis settings, and four-wheel steering. It benefits from the Alpine A110's 1.8-liter turbocharged engine, which churns out 280PS (276hp) and 390Nm (288lb-ft) of torque. The output is channeled to the front axle through a manual or dual-clutch transmission.
Performance details have yet to be announced, but Renault will probably shed some light on its 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration and top speed in the coming weeks, as the new hot hatch is expected to arrive at dealers in Mainland Europe this December, and in the United Kingdom next spring.
