Porsche 918 Spyder Worth Is One Expensive But Utterly Satisfying Toy

As one of the world's few hybrid hypercars, the Porsche 918 Spyder is the type of machine that doesn't really have a lot of faults.

Of course, since no car is perfect, this in-depth review from Doug DeMuro did point out a quirk or two that we didn't know about.

A few examples include the rather pointless screen to the left of the gauge cluster, the carbon fiber strip inside the fender ducts (for no apparent reason) and the little piece of carbon fiber you manually stick on top of the windshield so that it can deflect wind.

The reason this car had so much carbon fiber in the first place is because it's equipped with the Weissach Package. Thankfully, these mods aren't just aesthetic as the Weissach 918 is 40 kg (88 lbs) lighter with this pack, and faster to 62 mph (100 km/h) by roughly 0.2 seconds than the stock 918.

The 918 is one of the world's fastest-accelerating cars, and that's something that didn't go unnoticed in this review. Safe to say, DeMuro was absolutely blown away with how the 918 Spyder drove and in the end gave it a really high score, topping his personal charts.
