Porsche's all-new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo might have 670 horses running wild under its hood, but at the same time, it's as civilized as a Miele kitchen.
Or so Stuttgart wants us to believe through their latest commercial, which, as many YouTube commentators cheekily pointed out, would have felt right at home in any of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight flicks.
Despite giving owners the ability to drive it late at night in residential areas without waking up the entire neighborhood, it packs a massive output, which puts it on the same level with exotic machines.
By combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor and a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery, this version of the new-gen Porsche Panamera has a whopping 680PS (670hp) and 850Nm (627lb-ft) of torque. The naught to 100km/h (62mph) sprint takes as little as 3.4sec, with the optional Sport Chrono Package, and top speed is 310km/h (193mph).
Moreover, Porsche claims that thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the vehicle can (theoretically) return a fuel consumption as low as 3.0 l/100 km (94 UK mpg / 78 US mpg) emitting just 69 g/km of CO2. But wait, there's more - the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo can also travel on electricity alone for up to 49km (30 miles).
You should have at least $188,400 lying around if you're looking to purchase one on this side of the Atlantic, and prepare yourself for the inevitable depreciation, but if you're ready to make this step, then you have to wait until next spring, when it will go on sale in the USA.
