The Ford GT is one of the hottest supercars on the market and Top Gear's Chris Harris recently took the model out for a spin on the track.
In the relatively short clip, Harris notes that once the car is in track mode it's the "lowest, flattest and yet the most compliant supercar of them all." He goes on to say the GT is a very special driving machine that has superb braking and a high-tech suspension.
Speaking of the latter, Harris says the "harder you drive it, the more it responds like a race car." The host goes on to state it doesn't matter that the car uses a V6 engine instead of a V8.
That engine is a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 which developed alongside the engine that resides in the F-150 Raptor. The two engines share nearly 60 percent of the same components but the GT's engine develops an impressive 647 hp (482 kW) and 550 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which enables the 3,054 lbs (1,385 kg) supercar to hit a top speed of 216 mph (347 km/h).
