Lamborghini Murcielago Not Afraid To Race In Heavy Rain

As much fun as it is to drive a RWD supercar, situations such as this one are precisely why you'd want an all-wheel drive Lamborghini.

It's about power and about putting all that power down as efficiently as possible, even if the surface you're racing on is slippery, which in this case it really is.

On its first run, against a black C63 AMG Coupe, the Murcielago struggled for a second, with the driver even having to break in order to not lose control of his V12-powered Italian exotic.

In the second and third runs, against a four-door C63 and a BMW M3 E92 respectively, the Lambo didn't break traction and really put its 640 PS (631 HP) to good use - against, let's face it, inferior opponents. The Murcielago LP640 also packs 660 Nm (486 lb-ft) of torque, and will get to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, before maxing out at 340 km/h (211 mph).

Still, none of these races featured a standing start, which probably benefited the C63s and the M3 more than it did the Murcielago. However, we would like to see how the Lambo would have handled a standing start, considering the heavy rain conditions.
