This Porsche 968 Club Sport Is A Forgotten Gem Looking For A New Home

The Porsche 968 Club Sport is one of those forgotten gems that somehow never gained the same traction with their most popular siblings which incidentally started with a 9 and ended in 11.

This 1994 example is only one of the 1,743 left-hand drive Club Sports ever made and is considered one of the sweetest driving cars Porsche ever made.

While Porsche never offered the 968 CS in Blue Cobalt, this example is proudly wearing it as it was originally the personal car of Hans Riedel, the then Executive Vice President of Porsche AG.

The Club Sport version of the 968 tipped the scales at 100kg less than its regular siblings, while Porsche also updated the suspension for better handling. The powertrain however remained the same, meaning a 240hp 3.0-litre four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.

The car is also optioned with air-conditioning, power windows and a sunroof, which may add a bit of weight but there is still less sound insulation and that suspension to put a smile on your face.

The clocks read a healthy 173,500km (around 108k miles), which should mean whoever buys it will continue driving it without the worrying about the mileage. Offered for sale from HistoricCars.fr, this beauty is asking for 48,500 euros (around $54k in current exchange rates).
