Safari-Inspired Porsche 911 Is Road Legal, Looks Gorgeous

What we're looking at here is not just another restored 911, but rather a road-legal Safari-inspired 911 SC built by some of the best in the business of Porsche rally cars.

Tuthill’s latest bespoke Safari-style creation is based on a 911 SC, ordered from an American client. The company prepped the bodyshell in exactly the same way it does with its rally cars, spending hundreds of hours before the car could be sent to the paint shop. The dashboard was finished in body color while the front section of the roll cage was trimmed in leather.

The body features some extra cool touches, including the ducktail engine cover and a set of nudge bars front and rear. There is also a carbon-fiber roof vent painted in body color.

Other features include a full rally-spec wiring harness, which helps in powering the high-intensity driving lights in the door mirrors and the light pod on the bonnet. The suspension is identical to Tuthill’s Safari cars, with the braking system featuring the in-house brake calipers and fully-adjustable brake bias.

Probably the coolest classic Porsche 911 of the year so far? We think so.
