The Honda S2000 is rightfully considered one of the best sports cars of the past two decades and while it isn’t the most powerful in the world, it does have an evil side.
The 50-50 weight distribution could fool you into thinking the S2000 handles every corner flat without understeer or oversteer, but with a little too much throttle (or lifting off), the back end can violently kick out and that’s exactly what seemed to have happened to this owner in the U.S.
Filmed from the helmet camera of an approaching motorcycle, the white S2000 can be seen exiting a sweeping left-hand bend when the rear end loses traction and the driver isn’t quick enough to correct it.
The Japanese droptop then slams into a dirt embankment, wiping out a road sign in the process and coming within inches of collecting the biker.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the ordeal but the S2000 will need some TLC to return it to its former self.
