Corvette enthusiasts are among the most fanatical in the industry, and when it comes to the first and last units of a particular model, examples have been known to sell for over seven figures. Now, we can add another Vette to that list.
What we have here is the very last C5-generation Chevrolet Corvette ever built, and with a $1 million asking price, it certainly isn’t cheap. However, it could be worth exactly how much the seller is asking.
In 2013, the first C7 Corvette was sold for $1.1 million, and a few months later, the first C7 Convertible fetched $1 million. Even the first Z06 Coupe sold for exactly $1 million in 2015 and pundits believe that the final unit of a Corvette generation produced is just as valuable as the first.
The C5 in question is said to be in pristine condition and actually has no previous owners according to Carfax and has never been registered. It also has just 29 miles on the clock and still wears all of the factory plastic, stickers and labels.
Currently on loan to the National Corvette Museum and for sale from Buyavette, the car really is a time capsule back to July 1, 2004, the date when it rolled off the production line.
So, is it pricey? You bet. Is is also a good investment? Can't tell for sure, but it's very likely.
