Apparently, 700PS of pure Porsche insanity will do that to you, even if you are Walter Röhrl or Mark Webber. Porsche released a short and rather brilliant clip for the 911 GT2 RS, showing the two racing drivers being left lost for words after driving the new Widowmaker.
If anything, it portrays with accuracy just how intense is driving the new GT2 RS just in case you needed more proof after reading the numbers: 700PS (690hp) on the rear wheels, 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds and 211mph (340km/h) flat-out.
A set of larger turbos, an additional water-spray cooling system and a new titanium exhaust are the major contributors for the newfound power of the 3.8-liter flat six, with the chassis also upgraded in order to cope with the colossal grunt.
Features like rear-axle steering, ultra sticky tires and a bodywork riddled with carbon-fiber aero parts are there to help the new GT2 RS put down all of its 690hp. Weight is 1,470kg (3,240lbs) with a full fuel tank.
Not that we really wanted more proof anyway, but it’s always good to know that the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS is really the monster we think it is.
