1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Could Fetch New 911 GT3 Money

Some classic Porsche 911s often surpass their modern-day era derivatives' value, and this Carrera 2.7 MFI serves as a good example.

Made in 1974, alongside 1,010 other siblings, the car was originally supplied to Nick Faure, a Porsche racer and factory driver of the day, and 8 years later, it was bought by David Pattison, one of the owners of PCT Porsche Specialists.

Mr. Pattison still has it in his possession to this day, and during this time, the classic 911 was properly serviced and maintained. Its 2.7-liter engine, with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, was stripped out and restored, along with the gearbox, and the car is finished in its original factory color of Light Yellow, over the black cloth and leatherette upholstery.

Describing this Porsche 911 Carrera, Nick Taylor, which founded PCT Cars with Simon Corbett and David Pattison, said: "This Carrera is an adrenaline junkie's delight! It drives and sounds fantastic - a proper driver's car from the age of no serve steering or servo brakes."

The classic Porsche will hit the auction block at SilverstoneAuctions on October 21, when it's estimated to go for £100,000-£120,000 ($132,490-158,990), which places it into the new 911 GT3's territory and its £111,802 ($148,127) starting price in the UK.
