Audi ATOM Study Is Another Take On The Future Of GTs

With at least some of its styling derived from the R8, this so-called ATOM concept looks suspiciously big to be a simple supercar.

Of course, it's not really anything, since it's a fan made render from Konstantin Pankratov. But we can still speculate what it could do based only on its appearance.

So while the designer hasn't shared any of his thoughts, we reckon the long body and futuristic lines scream high-performance electric Grand Tourer. We thought "hypercar" for a second, but it's just not aggressive enough.

The front end design is really interesting, with the four rings angled upwards. Then there's the really sharp headlights, which almost act as an extension of the massively flared fenders. Maneuvering this thing around town wouldn't be all that fun.

Other notable design traits include the panoramic windshield, massive wheels, cameras for mirrors (probably) and a rather unique rear end that features suspended taillights - not something you see every day.

Overall, we wouldn't call this design all that unrealistic. In fact, it totally looks like it could co-exist with Audi's recently revealed real-world Aicon Concept.
