With Rolls-Royce and contemporary music culture going hand in hand ever since the dawn of Rock & Roll, it was about time one of these artists actually recorded a track while inside a British luxury car.
MOBO award-winning musician Joseph Junior Adenuga, better known as Skepta, teamed up with Rolls-Royce to record 'Skepta RR' while being driven around Switzerland in the all-new Phantom.
"I want to welcome Skepta to the world of Rolls-Royce. He has shown a unique and exciting appreciation of the marque and interpreted Phantom's credentials as the world's quietest and most luxurious car with an exceptionally creative track and film," said Rolls-Royce exec, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.
The all-new Phantom not only features a new and proprietary aluminum space frame, but also more than 130 kg (286 lbs) of sound insulation with a two-layer 6 mm (0.23 inches) glazing.
Unveiled back in July, the new-gen Phantom is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12, delivering 571 PS (563 HP) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque to the road. The first 2018 example is set to be auctioned off at the Naples Winter Wine Festival in January.
