Maserati Showcases 2018 GranTurismo And GranCabrio At Goodwood

Following the model’s global premiere at the New York Stock Exchange, Maserati brought the new 2018 GranTurismo and GranCabrio models to Goodwood Festival of Speed for their European premiere.

Taking inspiration by the Alfieri concept, Maserati has refreshed the exterior with a new ‘sharknose’ hexagonal grille, lower air ducts and a redesigned rear bumper among others.

The revisions also resulted in reducing the aerodynamic drag from 0.33 to 0.32 for the GranTurismo and from 0.35 to 0.33 for the GranCabrio.

Open the doors and you will be greeted by the Poltrona Frau leather seats and a redesigned lower console with a new double rotary dial made out of forged aluminum and a button cluster for the vehicle’s driving modes. Maserati has also upgraded the infotainment system by adding a high-resolution 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The revised range includes two versions of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio: the Sport and the MC. Both of them are still powered by a naturally aspirated Ferrari-built 4.7-liter V8 with 460hp at 7,000rpm and 520Nm of peak torque at 4,750rpm. A six-speed ZF automatic is the only transmission option.

Maserati is also celebrating 70 years of building GT cars, so they’ve brought a collection of classic models to be displayed alongside the new GranTurismo and GrandCabrio, including the A6 1500, 3500 GT, Ghibli SS Coupe and 3200 GT.
