Ferrari 488 Spider Gets The Tailor Made Treatment In Frankfurt

The Portofino was the star attraction at Ferrari's display in Frankfurt but the automaker has also revealed a one-off 488 Spider.

Created by the company's Tailor Made division, the roadster pays tribute to Ferrari's 70th anniversary and draws inspiration from the 1954 500 Mondial Spider that was once owned by Porfirio Rubirosa.

Ferrari didn't say much about the car but it features a blue exterior with stripes on the hood and "235" lettering on the doors. The car has also been equipped with Ferrari shields and 70th anniversary badging near the rear wheels.

Moving onto the interior, designers installed red seats and a black dashboard. Other highlights include blue contrast stitching and a 70th anniversary plaque on the rear firewall.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine that produces 670 PS (492 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which allows the car to rocket from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.0 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (203 mph).

In related news, Ferrari showed off an 812 Superfast with triple-layer grey paintwork from the company's Tailor Made division.
