Lexus Is Bringing A New Concept Car To The Tokyo Motor Show

Lexus has a whole slew of models to showcase at the Tokyo Motor Show this year – including the new LS sedan. But it also have a surprise in store.

In announcing its plans for the Japanese Domestic Market's premier auto show, Toyota's luxury division revealed that it “plans to hold the world premiere of a new concept car” there.

That's about all it had to say at this early stage, with complete details to be revealed on October 25. (Pictured are Lexus concepts from the past few years).

We likely won't know until then what form the concept will take, but one strong possibility mooted is for a three-row crossover. Were Lexus to dip its toes into that water, though, it may be more likely to unveil such a concept in the market for which it would be intended.

The possibilities, then, are virtually endless. A new sedan to replace the ES and GS? A convertible version of the LC coupe? Something to replace the CT hybrid hatch? Or perhaps something else entirely? We'll find out in about three weeks, so keep this page bookmarked.
