Midsize luxury SUVs, such as the BMW X5, are mostly known for their kid hauling abilities rather than coping with harsh environment.
And it's not hard to understand why, since despite their generous ground clearance, they're fitted with street tires rather than chunky off-road rubber, and they lack long suspension travel and, most of them, a low-range gearbox.
However, enthusiasts such as Kasim Tlibekov, who posted these renderings on Behance, wouldn’t say no to a highly modified BMW X5 from the E70 generation, which sports a raised suspension, plastic cladding all around, large bull bars on both ends, and bulky tires.
Taking a closer look at the vehicle reveals additional LED lights under the grille and on the roof, aftermarket headlamps, new fog lamps, a winch that could come in handy during those sticky situations, and even a snorkel.
If you think that nobody is crazy enough to blow a small fortune on transforming such a vehicle into an off-roader, then perhaps you should take a look at this guy, who brought an E53 back to life and made it look like it could take on pretty much anything Mother Nature had to throw at it.
