First spotted testing at VW's Nurburgring facility in full camouflage, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder seems to be a lot less camera shy in Italy.
These images, courtesy of Autogespot and Giammiseri Photography, show the Huracan Performante Spyder without its roof, and with an insignificant amount of camouflage covering a few sections of the car such as the engine bay area and the rear wing.
This prototype also happens to be wearing the same type of wheels we've previously seen on its fixed roof sibling, the ones with the single spoke, branching out design.
For comparison's sake, here's another look at that Huracan Performante Spyder rendering from a while back, just so you can judge the differences between the real thing and what everybody was expecting. Pretty much spot on, right?
As for what makes this car different from its Coupe counterpart, expect the folding soft-top to take around 17 seconds to drop (like on the regular Huracan Spyder). This would also mean it can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph).
Whether or not the 640 PS (631 HP) Huracan Performante Spyder will be as fast as the Coupe (0-62 in 2.9 sec) remains to be seen, however it's plausible that like the with the Coupe, the Performante Spyder will be 0.3 seconds quicker than the regular LP610-4 Spyder.
We're expecting Lamborghini to fully reveal the Huracan Performante Spyder later on this year.
