With the Tesla Model S having all that instant torque at its disposal, you'd think that something like a Porsche Cayman wouldn't stand much of a chance in a straight line.
And sure enough, that's exactly what we see in this video, as the Tesla in question has a rear-mounted camera set to capture what ever goes on behind the all-electric saloon.
Trailing it is a white Porsche Cayman, whose driver is apparently in the mood for some spirited driving - obvious by how it tried to keep up with the Tesla as soon as they took off from the lights.
As for the spin, it happened after the cars made a right turn. The Model S calmly went around the corner then took off, whereas the driver of the Cayman clearly got on the throttle a bit early and wasn't able to stop his car from spinning nearly 360 degrees.
We imagine that it must have been a little embarrassing, but hopefully a lesson or two was learned in the process - one of which should be avoid racing your sub 5-second sports car with something that can do 0 to 60 as quickly as a motorcycle on a public road.
