2018 Chevrolet Equinox Keeps Getting High Marks In Reviews

A report came out a few months back that GM went back and completely redesigned the 2018 Equinox during the early stages of its development, a move that apparently paid off with the car receiving positive reviews so far.

This time it was Kelley Blue Book's Micah Muzio, who thinks that, despite competing in an overcrowded segment full of good choices, the 2018 Equinox can still stand out from the pack as one of the best SUVs around.

In terms of cabin quality, the Equinox is decent says Muzio, although there are a few surfaces that will constantly remind you of the fact this isn't a premium product. Other than that, the infotainment system is solid despite the outdated graphics and the comfort levels quite high.

One way the 2018 Equinox will further separate itself from the field is thanks to its 1.6-liter turbodiesel unit, which claims to return around 40 mpg (5.9lt/100km) on the highway. Whether you go for that, or one of the petrol units, you'll still need to fork over an extra $1,800 if you want all-wheel drive instead of front wheel drive.
