The New Buick Regal GS Will Reportedly Have 310 HP

Buick has quietly revealed the upcoming Regal GS will produce an estimated 310 hp (231 kW).

First noticed by GM Authority, the performance figure was reportedly included in the summer issue of the company's B magazine. The paragraph detailing the Regal GS is missing from the online edition of the magazine but it was apparently included in physical copies which were sent to owners.

Assuming the information is legitimate, the car will have an "aggressive appearance and exclusive design cues" including a unique grille with a textured appearance. The magazine also says drivers can expect a jet black interior as well as a "plethora of performance-enhancing features including a continuously variable damping control system and Interactive Drive Control, which allows you to select from three driving modes."

The magazine only mentions a "high-feature V6 engine" but documents posted by the California Air Resources Board confirmed the car will have a 3.6-liter V6 that is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

Should the 310 hp (231 kW) figure pan out, the new GS will be significantly more powerful than the outgoing model which had a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 259 hp (193 kW) and 295 lb-ft (399 Nm) of torque.
