The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is already the most badass SUV on the market but Hennessey Performance has developed an upgrade package that takes the Jeep to unexplored heights.
Dubbed the HPE1000, the package equips the 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 with a massive 4.5-liter supercharger system with 14 psi of boost. Additionally, the Texas tuner adds stainless steel long tube headers, upgraded fuel injectors, high-flow supercharger bypass valve, upgraded fuel pump, high flow air induction system and a tweaked ECU to lift power to 1,012 hp at 6,500 rpm and 969 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm.
Those performance gains result in a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 2.8 seconds (with drag radials) while the quarter mile passes in a mere 10.5 seconds at 133 mph (214 km/h).
No pricing figures have been announced but whatever the cost, expect some future Trackhawk owners to be organizing trips to Texas.
