It's About Time Audi Brought Back The RS4 Sedan, Don’t You Think?

Some of you may recall that the B7 generation of the Audi RS4 was offered as an Avant, Convertible, and Sedan, but the B8 that followed it only came as a five-door.

Things don't look that promising when it comes to the new B9 either, because it appears that the brand with the four rings isn’t interested in challenging the likes of the BMW M3 anymore.

If they ever decided to green light such a model, then in all likelihood, it would pretty much look identical to this rendering by XTomi. It maintains the styling of the new RS4 Avant that debuted in Frankfurt, up to the C-pillar, while dropping the more generous cargo space in favor of a sleek saloon style.

We already know that the 2018 Audi RS4 Avant uses a 2.9-liter TFSI biturbo V6 engine, rated at 450PS (444hp) and 600Nm (443lb-ft) of torque, so a future four-door version of the car would adopt the same powertrain. Its 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration would likely drop to the 4.0sec mark, while top speed would remain identical capped at  250km/h (155mph), or 280km/h (174mph), with the RS pack.
