Upcoming Jeep Scrambler Looks Splendid In New Renderings

Jeep, Jeep Wrangler, Renderings, Trucks
If you weren’t already excited about the #Jeep Wrangler-based Scrambler pickup, these renderings might wet your appetite.

Sources close to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles claim that the Scrambler will land in showrooms by April 2019. As of yet, we have only seen prototypes wrapped in camouflage and body cladding but even still, have an excellent idea of what the finished pickup will look like.

As these latest renderings from the Jeep Scrambler Forum reveal, the Scrambler will share most of its design traits with the Wrangler but adapt them to a pickup body. Go figure. Consequently, the vehicle will have a square and boxy design dramatically different than other pickups currently on the market.

We know that the Scrambler will be sold with four doors but at this early stage, it’s unclear whether or not Jeep will sell it with the some level of customization as the new Wrangler. If it does, customers could opt for a two-door configuration and a selection of removable body parts, including the doors and windscreen.

Due to its Wrangler underpinnings, a familiar selection of engines should be offered. These will include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque as well as a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 delivering 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Our sources indicate that a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 offering up 260 hp and 442 lb-ft is probable.
