Do you recall watching classic U.S. police dramas in the 1980s and 1990s and the brown Dodge surveillance vans they seemingly always used? Well if you do, we have a real treat as one of those very surveillance vans has appeared for sale on eBay.
The 1989 Dodge Ram Van has had just one private owner from new and with 23,500 miles on the clock, is almost certainly one of the lowest mileage Dodge vans on the planet.
The seller says the van was purchased new from a dealership by the FBI and outfitted with a plethora of surveillance equipment, all of which has survived and can still be found inside. That includes two LCD screens, a toilet, intercom, radars, a number of power points, tape recorder, video recorder and more. It will even be sold with some original surveillance tapes and notebooks inside.
At the time of writing, the highest bid was sitting at $11,100 with just under four days left of the auction. That’s insanely expensive for a Dodge van of this age but the high price clearly hasn’t dissuaded some would-be FBI spies from looking to make the most of this unique opportunity.
