Despite being a decade old, the Bugatti Veyron is still considered the benchmark for any hypercar or tuned supercar slayer.
With 425 hp on tap from its standard twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, you may think the only way to achieve Veyron-like acceleration in an F80 BMW M3 would be to rebuild the engine with larger turbochargers, forged parts and racing camshafts but actually, it is much simpler than that.
This particular M3 has been built by Team Insanity Racing and only has simple plug and play modifications yet at the drag strip recently, set a blistering 10.18 seconds quarter mile at 139 mph (223 km/h), figures pretty much identical to the fastest Veyron 16.4 recorded.
If you’re a fan of sleepers, you’ll love this.
