The Jeep Renegade is entering the 2018 model year with a host of improvements.
Since the model was introduced a few years ago, the exterior styling stays the same but the crossover has been equipped with a redesigned interior.
Jeep didn't provide pictures but said the cabin has new seat fabrics, revised colors, and updated bezel treatments. Other changes include a "revamped Selec-Terrain shifter dial layout," a relocated USB port, and the addition of two new storage compartments.
Speaking of the interior, the entry-level Renegade Sport now comes standard with a 5-inch Uconnect 5.0 audio system that has Bluetooth connectivity, six-speakers, and voice control technology. The model can also be equipped with an optional Uconnect 4 system which has a 7-inch display as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Additional changes are limited but all Renegade models now come standard with a ParkView rearview camera. The Renegade Sport also gains a newly optional My Sky roof panel system.
Engine options carryover and include a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder that develops 160 hp (119 kW) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. There's also a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 180 hp (134 kW) and 175 lb-ft (237 Nm) of torque.
