What's A Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon Like As A Daily Driver?

As an alternative to large, muscular crossovers, the Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon is certainly an interesting car to drive on a daily basis.

If you recall, Doug DeMuro bought this used E63 back in August, promising his viewers an in-depth review once he got to know the car better.

Now, the verdict is in, as they say. Apparently, this 2012 E63 Wagon is one of the highest-ranked cars he's ever tested (based on his own DougScore ratings), and it's mostly because it's extremely practical, powerful and sufficiently good looking, according to its owner.

While DeMuro might not be particularly fond of the multifunction steering wheel's button layout, he didn't really find much else wrong with the car. As for the quirky shifter, it's just a little weird in its appearance, that's all.

On the road, the E63 proved smooth and loud, both obviously positives considering the type of car this is. Its 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 makes it sound like a classic muscle car says DeMuro, while the 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration time of just over 4 seconds means that it will keep up with a lot of older supercars.

In the end, it would seem that an old E63 AMG Wagon is a terrific car to own. Of course, if you want it as a daily driver, it kind of depends on where you live in the world (different gas prices), because this isn't exactly a fuel efficient family car.
