Chevy S10 Trailboss Concept Looks More Tonka Than Bumblee

Planning your own expedition in South America? Then we're glad to report that your ride has arrived.

Unveiled at the Buenos Aires Auto Show is the Chevy S10 Trailboss, a show truck based on the compact pickup sold in other overseas markets as the Colorado (which itself is entirely different from the Colorado we see in the United States).

All decked out in yellow and black, it looks more like a Tonka truck than a Bumblebee Camaro. And as you can see, it's been fitted with all manner of off-road equipment. That includes new bumpers, side steps, beefed-up wheel arches, mud flaps, and 18-inch alloys shod with all-terrain tires.

It has an LED light bar, tubular roof rack, and snorkel air intake to keep the 2.8-liter turbodiesel breathing even while fording a river. The engine channels 200 horsepower to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The eye-catching exterior color scheme is reversed inside, where everything's black but with a few flashes of orange trim. It also features JBL audio and MyLink infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility to keep you connected off the beaten path – from the dense rainforests of the Amazon to the deserts of Patagonia.
