Owning a nice car certainly has its perks but also a number of drawbacks, namely maintaining and ensuring it is kept in pristine condition. For the many exotic car owners in the UK, there's a simple and rather novel solution.
Windrush Car Storage has secure car storage facilities in central London and the Cotswolds, and stores and cleans vehicles for a very reasonable monthly sum.
The company, founded in 2004 by Tim Earnshaw, stores vehicles in a climate-controlled and dehumidified environment and ensures their safety with a host of security features. Windrush says that when the vehicles are stored there, they are given complete valet and detailing services, checked daily, hooked up to a trickle charger and and wrapped in a cover.
Speaking to Business Insider, Earnshaw said that his years at the Ferrari Formula One team taught him about the importance of properly caring for and storing cars.
“This is the very pinnacle of car storage in the UK; we treat cars as if they’re our own and make sure they are subject to the most luxurious service possible to keep owners’ minds at ease.”
Some vehicles currently stored at the London and Cotswolds facilities include multiple Bugatti Veyrons, a Lancia Delta Integrale, a Ford Capri 3.0S and a McLaren P1.
As for the cost, it's £480 ($614) a month to store a car in the London facility and £270 ($345) in the Cotswolds one.
