Sure, the Bugatti Chiron is the pinnacle of the automotive world today, but what’s like to drive one of its ancestors?
Finding a classic Bugatti is a hard task, let alone drive it in a manner that will leave you with a proper taste of the car’s character as these cars now belong to the multi-million dollar league, but thankfully, we have Pur Sang to teach us some history lessons.
You could call Pur Sang’s Bugatti Type 35 a replica but it really doesn’t do justice to the detailed work put through the entire car, as this is a faithful recreation and not another fiberglass-bodied copy.
It weighs just 1,500lbs (680kg) and is powered by a supercharged 2.0-liter straight-eight(!) engine which should have felt like riding a rocketship back in 1924, when the Type 35 made its debut.
Chris Harris had the rare chance of sampling this beautiful exact copy of the Bugatti Type 35/a> and the smile on his face tells it all. This thing is pure magic.
