Mercedes-AMG C43 And Jaguar XE 35t Fight For The Title Of The Sportiest Sedan

If you are out in the market for the sportiest four-door saloon, you’ve probably added both the Mercedes-AMG C43 and the Jaguar XE 35t to your list of candidates.

Mercedes is currently expanding the AMG brand by adding more models underneath its traditional offerings, including the new C43. Power comes from a twin-turbo V6 with 362hp that’s sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed auto gearbox.

The range-topping Jaguar XE on the other hand sticks with rear-wheel drive and rides on one of the best platforms in the segment. Its supercharged V6 produces 340hp and it’s mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic.

While some purists are already yelling about the new 43 series not being a real AMG product but rather a marketing trick, you can’t deny that people simply want more Affalterbach-related products and Mercedes is just giving them what they want.
