Nico Rosberg's F1 Championship Trophy Got Lost In The Post

No matter where you live in the world, there’s a very good chance you’ve experienced something of yours going missing in the post. Just how socks seem to disappear in the washing machine, there always seem to be a risk of a letter or parcel of yours getting lost in transit.

However, it is unlikely you’ve experienced something quite as frightening as last year’s F1 championship winner Nico Rosberg, who recently had his priceless winner’s trophy go missing prior to the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In an interview with Autosport, Rosberg said he sent his trophy over to the UK to show at Goodwood and that it went missing for five days.

“I've had a massive scare because we sent it [the drivers' trophy] off to Goodwood recently - with super-high security - and it got lost. It was gone for five days. It was lost in the post! I had some restless days, but now it's back,” he said.

As Jalopnik notes, Rosberg himself made the trip to Goodwood, so perhaps this will serve as a lesson to simply take the trophy as carry-on luggage in the future.
