We're in the thick of the summer now, and classic car enthusiasts know what that means: That's right, Pebble Beach is just around the corner. And not just the various concours events, but the accompanying auctions, too.
Gooding & Company is the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and for this year's sale, has lined up a drool-inducing array of million-dollar Italian classics.
It's joined by several other noteworthy Prancing Horses, including a 1954 500 Mondial (with a four-cylinder engine!) valued at about $3.4 million, a 1951 212 Inter (~$1.65m) and a pair of mid-60s 275 GTBs (worth $2.2 and 3.25 million apiece).
Not into Ferraris? There's plenty more on offer, including a Zagato-bodied 1956 Maserati A6G/54 ($4.5m), and a '53 Fiat 8V Berlinetta Elaborata ($1.6m). And there's more, so much more, from Steve McQueen's Porsche 917K to a pair of unrestored Mercedes 300 SLs.
