This Ferrari 250 GT Cabrio Is Worth $6 Million, And It's Just The Start

We're in the thick of the summer now, and classic car enthusiasts know what that means: That's right, Pebble Beach is just around the corner. And not just the various concours events, but the accompanying auctions, too.

Gooding & Company is the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and for this year's sale, has lined up a drool-inducing array of million-dollar Italian classics.

Not the least of them is the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet pictured above. The last of forty Series I drop-tops built, chassis 1475 GT is one of only four with open headlamps and just two with those tall vertical taillights. Respendent in deep blue, it's anticipated to sell for a solid $6 million (give or take a million).

It's joined by several other noteworthy Prancing Horses, including a 1954 500 Mondial (with a four-cylinder engine!) valued at about $3.4 million, a 1951 212 Inter (~$1.65m) and a pair of mid-60s 275 GTBs (worth $2.2 and 3.25 million apiece).
