Jaguar F-Type 2020 Project Looks Like One Mean Kitten

Ever since the modern-day F-Type came out in 2013, car enthusiasts and automotive journalists have raved about its appearance, its performance and quite often, its soundtrack when supercharged.

For many, it's a perfect tweener, walking the line between sports car and supercar - although the flagship SVR model definitely crosses that line, without even looking back.

As for what the future might hold, the only thing we know for certain is that Jaguar design boss Ian Callum has had discussions about whether the next-generation F-Type should be mid-engine or front engine.

"We haven't decided yet," said Callum in an interview last year. "And even within the design studio we disagree with each other. So the next F-Type won't necessarily have a long hood and a short trunk."

However, in case it does, let's just say we wouldn't mind if it ended up looking like this design study by Alexandre Camenen.

The grille, and even the top part of the headlights still scream Jaguar, while the rear end does sort of reflect what the current F-Type could become in a not-so-distant future. As for notable design features, there's the two massive exhaust tips, illuminated badges front and rear, Opel Ampera-like headlights (just kidding, but not really) and very thin wing mirrors.
