There are plenty of choices in the ever-crowded subcompact crossover segment, with one of the latest additions coming from Hyundai and their brand-new Kona.
The Korean automaker may be late to the party, but it promises an interesting proposal that's very customizable, has a funky design, and competitive pricing.
This all sounds well on paper, describing a vehicle that's aimed towards young buyers, so could Hyundai have a winner in their hands? The first reviews should answer this question briefly, but it appears that they cannot agree on whether its ride and handling are indeed good, or not so satisfactory.
Nevertheless, while the dynamic part of the videos has a rather foggy flair, it seems that most agree that it's not that as spacious in the rear as some of its rivals, while the boot capacity isn’t on the plus side either.
It does have some strong points, though, such as being available with all-wheel drive, an infotainment system that's easy to use, supportive front seats, and plenty of equipment on more expensive models. Still, be careful with the options list, because the Kona can get quite expensive, as you may end up paying at least £24,440 ($32,450) for a Premium GT, in the United Kingdom.
